July 1st aka Canada Day. What is occuring in my neck of the woods to mark the occasion. Not much in my family. We're getting new flooring installed. Most of our carpet is gonna be taken out and replaced with laminate aka Shiny + hardwood looking flooring. It's likely gonna take a few days.
what else do I have to remember. Oh yeah, dig out my Nike Canada shirt from the massive piles of clothing I've got going in my temporary bedroom on the main floor of the house. Lets see, when I think of Canada these things come into my mind
1. Maple Leafs
2. Hockey
3. Tim Horton's Doughnuts, coffee, and Hot Chocolate (a personal favorite of mine)
4. Sovereignty Referendums (mostly in French speaking Quebec but not unheard of in the rest of the country, hell even my province of British Columbia)
5. Peacekeeping missions for our Military - Long history going back to Lester B. Pearson + the Suez Canal Crisis
