What I use this blog for?

I just glanced at an artist's blog. He had up a new text entry mentioning that he hadn't updated in a month and has been blogging for 5 years. He elaborated on his story about why he started blogging and so forth. It was a quick interesting read. A small bit of what he said spurred me to write this. He mentioned that no new entries means a potential loss of readers. That stood out to me because having readers is the last thing on my mind when I blog. That's not to say that I don't appreciate regular readers. On the contrary, when somebody regularly reads and also gives interesting responses back, my day is brightened a little. Even more so if it has been going well already. I love having little sub conversations across different blogs and social networking sites. I also LOVE learning new things from other people that I have these sub conversations with as well...Well, back to my main point. This blog is a confessional. I use it to get whatever extensively detailed or understated thoughts might be on my mind. I used to even do entries that were one liners. Twitter has taken over that impulse.

In short. This blog is my confessional. I might share anything from what I've been doing, watching, reading, learning, smelling, who knows what. This is for a bit of honesty with myself. How Emo is this? 21st century dear Diary. WTF?

This reads almost like a mission statement. I never particularly cared for those if suggested to be done as a task. A person needs to make a fairly precise assessment of themselves and their tendencies. With that said, don't expect me to be accurate about my shortcomings. It'll happen. I'll need to reconcile those different things as they say online "In Real Life".

What could possibly be coming your way on this blog if you do read my ramblings on a regular basis. Probably a post on the Musical TV series "GLEE" and probably the long overdue images of the process layers of the 2 paintings I did this past summer. The delay now on that one is that the digital camera I used to take those pics might have been brought to India with my parents. Hope that they don't erase them. Hopefully nothing happens to them and I can have those up after October 20 or into November.

Later All, I gotta finish the home stretch of the book "Mencius", about the teachings of the 2nd most important man in Confucianism. The book cover might look like this below. for some reason all the images of different book covers are tiny hence the blurriness
