I've started my Christmas shopping in earnest. Still need to get a few more things for a few more family members. Kind of feel like adding onto the single pieces of things I've bought so far. I like giving Christmas gifts but I strongly dislike the demeanor of people around the holidays in the malls. It's full of intentional and unintentional rudeness. Not to mention, stores are usually set up for maximum discomfort in the cashier/checkout area. I was in a Forever 21 today getting some clothes for various female cousins today. The line ups were really long even though I was in the mall on a Friday before 3pm. I bet the malls are even crazier now that people are off work and the school kids are off for Christmas break.
I've only got one non-clothing gift this year. It's for my older brother. The extended versions of Harry Potter 1 + 2 on Blu-ray. I can't wait to watch the multi part massive documentary that's gonna be spread over each extended version. I didn't really ask for anything specific from any family member. I've been too busy writing essays and prepping for finals to actually give many ideas to anybody. Hope I get Season 5 of LOST. It's my favorite show. The last season is always out on DVD around my birthday + the Holidays. I'd honestly be good with just getting LOST and nothing else. Have myself a merry little marathon.
what else is new. I've also recently bought my books for next semester. I'm taking a higher level Canadian Literature course. Got a stack of about 9 books for that course. I'm also taking a Shakespeare course which means that I now own THE COMPLETE WORKS OF WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE as it appears in the massive tome THE RIVERSIDE SHAKESPEARE Second Edition. I've probably mentioned that. I'm just flabbergasted with delight and dread that I will soon be likely studying nearly every work that this legendary literary talent created.
