Vancity tourist spots sketch crawl

I did these while me, my mom, and dad were showing around somebody who was visiting from out of town. We generally don't hit the tourist spots much. Who ever does when they live in that city. I was actually really surprised by how much some of the tourist spots had changed. These sketches are from observation but I'm not slavish to the placement of how things are in reality. They are all essentially realistic in arrangement but I was liberal with which parts of areas I'm showing in the drawings. Each of these tourist spots are parts of Vancouver that I really enjoy. It has just been a while since I've been to some of them.

These were from roughly the 2nd or 3rd week of August so I've taken a lot of time. More than is needed to just get these scanned in. what I said at the end of the big paragraph guys. I've written the names of the Vancouver sites that I was at while doing each drawing. Take note. The Lion's Gate Bridge drawing was from one of several sites at Stanley Park. It was drawn from the restaurant at Prospect Point in the park. I wrote date and time stamps for when I completed each drawing. Hope you guys like them.

  1. do you carry paper/pens wherever you go so you can sketch? i've always wondered that about artists.
