Been a long time since I've painted TWICE in a year

I haven't done more than one painting a year in a long time. I just started a new painting showing the 3 forms of Spina Bifida. A long while back I did a painting showing my back and the type of spina bifida that I have. I showed it at a Spina Bifida conference that happened in Vancouver one year. Everybody seemed to enjoy that series highlighting my disability. The Spina Bifida Association of B.C. asked me if I'd like to donate that painting to them and that it would be put into the Spina Bifida clinic in B.C. Children's Hospital. I said no to them at that time. I'd still say no today because that painting is really personal to me. I actually just put it up in my room. I'm doing this new painting solely for the purpose of donating it to the Spina Bifida Association. I didn't tell them that I was doing it. I'm just going to donate it once it's done. I guess that I'll sign the corner or somewhere on the canvas once I'm finished since it's likely going to be displayed at the Spina Bifida clinic and used to show kids with Spina Bifida the type that they have.

I had a more unique arrangement rather than purely side by side in mind but my mom suggested to keep it simple. I slowly came around. I think I'll use my original arrangement in a potential 3rd Spina Bifida painting in the future. Never know what will come next though. Started a drawing the other night of a recurring subject. It's larger than the others I've done. I'll finish it and keep it til it's time to send her another assortment of imagery. I'm not gonna say it. She's my youtube and twitter crush, hah hah

  1. Very awesome comment you left me. I was worried I'd turn off my blifers with a post like that, but I'm happy to see that I didn't. Thanks again for your insightful comments
